HOW DO I APPLY ?

     If you are interested in becoming a resident and believe that you qualify for consideration, please contact our secretary who will send you an application form.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT ?

     Once we receive your application our representative will visit you in your own home to discuss further details and arrange for you to visit one or more of the Abbeyfield Homes. 
If you decide to
proceed with your application and it is approved you will be offered accommodation as soon as it is available.
    
To help you make your decision we can arrange for you to stay at the house of your choice for a trial period without having to give up your present home.

WHAT DO THE CHARGES INCLUDE ?

     As a resident you will be asked to pay charges monthly by standing order.  These include the following:

  • Private Accommodation

  • Two good meals each day, with basic provisions for other meals.

  • Heating, electricity, Council tax and water rates

  • Free TV licence

  • Limited home care in case of temporary illness

  • 24 Hour cover through the Council’s emergency alarm call system

  • General supervision of your welfare by the house manager

  • Cost of repairs and maintenance

  • Facilities for personal laundry

  • Cleaning of the communal areas

    You may be eligible for help towards your charges through housing benefit and supporting people grant depending on your financial circumstances.
